M-Ray just sent me a phone pic, he saw this today, anyone from the site?

does goldtip drive a chev?

HMM

goldtip drives a white dodge.
I ran into NWBrute yesterday while hunting muzzleloader elk. Another tag holder shot a 42" moose with single brow tines and small palms, but had good width. He was there helping and I lent a hand. I sent NWbrute in the direction of a bigger bull that I had seen in the morning hunting elk. I didn't go back out this morning, but I am sure we will hear from both of them soon, as they are seeing moose.

I think I've seen that pickup in Mineral
-
I just looked at my pictures again, and it is the same bull, and truck from mineral. That I was helping with yesterday.
-
Yeh it is from Mineral, I just helped him hang it up, he's a great friend and a hunting son of a gun. This is my 1st experience with a moose, I'm in awe, everyone says these Washington moose aren't that big, this thing dwarfed any elk I've ever seen. I can't imagine how big an Alaskan moose must be. His freezer is going to be full, he just put an elk in a couple weeks ago and now a moose on top of it. I'm sure he'll get some field pics up in the next couple days.

I was in Dan Liljas barrel shop in Plains Montana and he has his Alaska moose shoulder mounted in there. incredible! :yike: you have to see one to believe how big they are

Goldtip drives a whitedodge and shot a much better moose. ;) He should be done packing meat by now. :chuckle:
-
He didn't call me!!!! I guess my mules are going to have to pack out MY moose one of these days. Even if I shoot it close to a road I'm making them pack it out! :)
-
Or they could pack out my moose next year.
-
It would take more work to cut it out to get to the moose than it would to pack it out in this circumstance Machias.
-
Yep, Goldtip drives a white Dodge. :)
-
spill some details, GT...lets hear it.
congrats bud.

Yeah I spoke briefly with that guy at the light before it turned green but didn't get a name. I congratulated him and wanted to ask if he was a member here so we could hear the story. What I did get out of him was something to the effect that he had a bum shoulder leading up to the hunt didn't get to scout much and wasn't going to hold out long either. He was all smiles as well he should be ... I know it's only single brows and that will hurt his score but he'll look great on the wall! Coon if you know him tell him congrats again from me and see if he can get a story and some field pics up on here!!! :)

This hunter had put in for moose for something like 27 years before being drawn and also got to experience the hunt with his father. I think his bull was 42". Great guys
