New to the site but not new to hunting. I moved from Idaho to WA in '00 and havent harvested an animal since i have been here. Hunting in Idaho vs Wa. is 2 totally different worlds. I used to get my deer every year about 15 minutes from my place in Boise. Here, I am lucky if i even see tracks.
Most of the peole that I know do the family "super secret squirell club hunting location" (which I totally understand) and grandpa doesnt like new comers possibly harvesting his animal. I have been out bear hunting the last couple weeks and know some areas they are frequenting but just havent been able to catch up with one.
I dont have anyting to offer in exchange other than cash for fuel, food, good company (I am always good for laughs, usually being laughed at but hey, it works) and I usually always have a flask of something spendy to drink.
I am located in lynnwood and am willing to travel to a meeting point. If anyone is willing to help show a guy what in the hell he is doing wrong out in the woods, it would be greatly appreciated.

To bad you are so far away, and I am in a new area. I would hook up with you, as my schedule allows.

How about some pics of your hunts? Age?

Sorry, forgot some details.
36y.o., 10 year USMC vet (combat engineer then lateraled to tanks)and have been doing money management, estate planning and tax planning since i got out of the Corps in '00. As much as some may not like it, i was #2 on the Snohomish Coutny Sherriffs Office hire list until the countys budget went south.
On marriage V2.0 and between the 2 of us we have 5 kids and the wife is getting her BSN. I have a facebook page if anyone interested in checking out (shoot me a PM and I will give you a link)
Like I said I havent taken an animal since I moved to wa. And the one I took in fall of '99 was a forked horn just above the Boise national forest (bogus basin) sign and was before I could afford a digi cam. All the pics i have now our just nice views from my recent hunts. Might even have a picture of the grouse foot taken a couple weeks ago.
Right now most of my hunts involve me driving my little volvo up to the hills and then hiking in. Its got a trunk big enough to hold a nice size bear :)
here are sme shots of this last Sat. bear trip. the first one might give away my area.

Live up there for close to 35 years, and hunted up there for close to 25 years. I'm now in Wyoming. Gotta thank you for your service!!! You hunt bow? Where ya at, which side of the mountains? Might piss others off, but I've got no secrets. Know areas I've almost always got into game on the Olympic peninsula. With your service to us, might offer a Wyoming hunt along with WA info? Any help I can be just let me know!

Right on H20....won't piss me off. Always help those who have helped us.The men and women of the U.S. armed forces are some of the best of the best. If they need a little help...it's the least we can do.

Wow guys! For some reason I havent been getting the emails that people have responded. I will definately be in touch with you guys to see if we cant work something out.
This weekend myself and a friend are headed up into the Stevens pass area. At first I was looking at Mt. Baker but after talking with my sister that is an avid mountaineer, she said to try and avoid Baker unless you had some really good gear. Apparently the weather can turn nasty very quickly.
I have scouted/hunted Stevens alot this season so I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the foul weather will keep the more "camper" type hunters in thier tents.

Well I hope that I am not too late to jump on the "I Need A Partner" wagon. I am up on Whidbey Island and looking to jump into hunting. I have never been but am very eager to learn. Let me know if your interested in teaching a few new things.
