I was thinking ahead way ahead but the guy i was getting one from today (BKDAVE) got his out of the case and found a ton of mice and crap all over it. they had eaten holes and peed all over it.
so now i am scrambling.
-
I was in Fred Myers today and they had them for $60. Just a FYI a little out of your price range but not bad..

where are you hunting, I have one you can borrow. It's a blow up cot on the fold up accordian (sp) style frame. It's bitchen. I'm in washougal though?
-
they had eaten holes and peed all over it.
That's cover scent!
:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

just sleep on your blow-up doll.......... :chuckle:
-

Another reason to skip all those Huskie games!!
Try a sleeping mat rather than a cot, less airgap under your body will help hold in heat. I am sure any store that has camping items will have a sleeping mat.
I know you said you did not have time to go to Cabelas, but I put this here for an example.

I've never slept on a cot in a tent.
:dunno:
-
Id rather use a therma-rest any day over a cot.
MS
-
you guys are so funny i forgot to laugh.... :dunno:
-
I might have to buy him a cot to kill this thread. maybe that was his plan all along<G>. Just kidding BWB
-
Hey bwb they had those exercise/sleeping mats at costco for under 40. like someone else said, no air gap and warmer, just my :twocents:.
Hey you good on ammo, knife, food, water, maps, game bags, t/p, socks, preperation H, gas, truck, flashlight, propane, etc etc.. :chuckle:
-
yeah pretty good on all the other stuff. Why?
this is only a short trip, my 12 day trip is gonna be on the 30th of october.
im gonna hit up fred meyer first then maybe run to costco.
thanks for the tip
-
leave us your cell number so we can wake you for the hunt.Oh how do ya like your eggos
-
oh thanks for the offer, but i dont take my cell.
And i make homemade waffles not eggos those are processed way to much.
:IBCOOL:
-
Buy a therma-rest or a blow up twin air mattress or a blow up doll.
-
:chuckle:
-
Dont forget the goldbond. Man you sure have borrowed a lot of stuff this year. A bail of stray is about as warm and comfortable as you can get when sleeping on the ground. But the blowup doll idea is probably a better investment................
-
ok ok ok the beating can stop now.
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fecx.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F41N1F2S4YYL._SS500_.jpg&hash=cff14dce1cbf36a62382f960140ae7027dd044d8)
just went to fred meyer, target, sears and sports authority and finally found a cot.
99$
put it on the credit card..... :bash:
-
Ohhh too bad I was going to let you borrow mine!!
-
awe thats ok i needed one for my very own anyways. And you get what you pay for and from some reviews i read online this one seems to hold up and be very good quality and well built.
Thanks though
-
If I've got room, I'm not using the bivy in a 5oz. hammock, sleeping on a mat, don't have the camp trailer, then I use a single size air mattress ($19.99) with a battery powerd/rechargable air pump ($12.99) from WallyWorld.
The cot is nice so you can stow stuff under it. Let us know how it works for you. Some of them are very noisy to sleep on. Many just aren't durable enough.

I purchased a couple from cabelas. They are for car camping, not the lightest but you can put them together in 30 seconds and have their own case.
