Title: 1st Elk Winston Unit Cow
Post by: duramax on October 17, 2009, 03:53:48 PM: Hello all, new to the site (long time reader finally joined) wanted to share my 1st Muzzleloader elk. After years of modern with no luck switched to muzzle loader. I drew a winston unit cow tag and got this cow 1st morning out 1 hour into it. My brother ranged her at 100 yards when she started to walk away had to keep calling her with a hoochie mama to get her to stop and turn broad side finally had a 120 yard shot with my Knight Bighorn 100 grains triple7 and powerbelt 348 grain aerotip. Finally got some elk meat in the freezer.
