Title: Jake strikes again!!
Post by: Schmalzfam on October 18, 2009, 07:29:33 PM: And for the last time this season!! His tags are full :) I can't be more proud though. Little stink has beginners luck for sure..
We went out this morning and hunted he had him down by 8:00am. Not bad for Blacktail with 20 gauge 3" slug. 1 shot, hit him right in the heart..he ran like a manic 30 yards and then we heard the crash!! BUCK DOWN JAKE!! It's been a great year for him, his brother is stricken with envy though and myself(mom) included!!

There are some good genetics in that deer for sure..pretty cool antlers.
So...now it's MY turn. I hope Jake can rub some luck off on me :chuckle:
Kris, Eric hasn't taken any shots yet..Brandon and him have Muzzy tags. I heard you got a nice elk..SWEET!! Have you posted pics?

Not sure how much he weighed. He was an Island deer so, his body wasn't huge but, he was big for an Island deer. I would say it is somewhere around 85-95 hanging.
