Kind'uv a funny long story we hunted all day saturday and saw a couple legal bucks a nice 4x4 whitetail and a decent 3x3 mulie but couldnt get shots at either. . . so sunday morning we head out to go hunting again and at 6 oclock we are at the spot we park at and two bucks cross the road both are decent 3x4s and we get a really good look at both as the head right into the area we planned to hunt. so we park and wait in the truck untill 6:40 and as its starting to get light we head out untill we get to a spot we can glass the area we think the bucks headed. about fifteen minutes later we spot one buck headed up a rocky butte about 700 yds away we wait untill he dissapears then since there was no way to get a shot from above we start hiking around the butte thinking we might come out a little ways away from where we last seen him we get directly under the butte and start up the ravine when my brother points out the buck . . . he is just showing us his head as he looks down at us from about 160 yards away. . .there is no way we can go up with him looking so my brother gets into position to shoot. the deer will not turn forever but finally it turns and does the only thing that will give us a shot he takes ten steps down the hill and then turns broadside and right before he leaves forever my brother shoots and the deer is gone. . . we scramble up the butte and i ask my bro if he thinks he hit it. . .he doesnt think so. . i am thinking we probably wont see the other buck anywhere either way . . . we get out on top and i spot his buck dead behind some sage i give him a high five and head to the other side of the butte to see where the other one went to. suddenly my brother is waving me over and i hustle over to him and he said a four point ran right by him. . .i run to the side of the cliff and see the other buck part way up a steep rock slide a put the sights on him and right as i squeeze the trigger the deer turns sideways and flinches as the rocks explode above him. . . he turns straight up and i aim for his head and wham down he goes and he rolls all the way to the bottom...we drag my brothers deer down to him and take pictures and away we go. . .the bucks are only a couple inches off from being perfect matches as far as horns but my buck wieghed quite abit more we both determined. . .my brothers shot was perfect by the way right behind the leg going in on a angle knocked out both lungs and not a drop of meat wasted on either one. . .what a awesome day with my brother...but my mom says its going to be a hard winter since we putting deer in the freezer but i cant wait for some deer steaks!!! :IBCOOL:

That is really cool. I hope to hunt with my brother next year. Did you determine yours was heavier during the drag back to the truck or after all the work was done, there is a difference :tung:. Great job to both of you!
