(exception to the rule for field photos of the entrant themselves.)
- The photo must pertain to hunting or fishing or the outdoors in some fashion.
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 27th of the current month(January) in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site.
-Previous entries will not be eligible for future photo of the month contests.
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest. (December's winner cannot win in January)

(huntwa said I could play if I give up my vote...I don't know, I'm having lots of fun judgeing these great photos.)
The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page and get a free patch.
Make sure you take a gander at the Photo of the Year contest in the polls board, as soon as I get it up and running.

Thanks Miles. I know I like it more. I really liked it about 10 years ago before all of the hype. I used to spend days in the hills without ever seeing anyone. Now its almost ridiculous as you are well aware.

I think we should talk Dan (300) into taking a pic of his Raffle Tag and posting it here. That would be the winner in my book!

Here is one I'll throw in the hat. It is a simple goose shot but I like the lighting and the background.

Yes, there have been a few great pics (potential winners) that were not considered because of the file size.
-
Heres one i like. I made it smaller so it would fit on the screen all the way but there you go. A nice Black and White. Even better hunt. but it is a great picture.....AJ

If anyone has a problem resizing pics just send them to me and I will gladly help you out, it takes about 30 seconds and is no big deal so dont give it a second thought. I would hate to find out there are great pics out there but they are not being posted because people dont know how to resize them, get them over here if thats the case. huntnphool@aol.com

The pictures are of me, Josh was a great hunting partner for the last two years, he will surely be missed while he is in the Airforce. Here is a picture from outside the blind, (My monthly entry) the blind is over my shoulder on the left the little bump just out from the trees. 384 yard shot.

i appoligies for the darkness in the picture. I had to make a photo copy of the original which is hanging on my fridge. lots of good pictures on the fridge but takes to long to copy and then post them......Thanks again, i really liked the picture to.....And that was an awesome hunt. I was out taking pictures with my canon rebel(35mm) and i came up to this field that had this bull and two other fighting in a flooded over field. they both were about a foot in the water and FIGHTING to the death. From about 400 yrds i could see blood and water thrashing everywhere. and then out of no where i see a group of three guys lying down in the water, on there bellies hand over hand getting closer to these guys, watched them set up about 200 yrds away from these bulls, and drop both in two timed shots. way awesome. this first bull dropped right where he was and the second bull ran off into the near by woods and then died somewhere. took a while to find him...........Ended up getting alot of great pictures that day...i might post more of the fight if i can get them copied and loaded.....
This day was full of excitement.........good memories!!!

You folks are really posting some beautiful pictures. Keep it up. Everytime I see these it makes me thankful for living in such a beautiful state with amazing diversity in wildlife and scenery. The greatest man made art can't even come close to God's creations.

I needed this comment today. Comments like that make me grateful, and grateful is something I need to be aware of. Thank you, tlbradford.

I agree...much to be grateful for. The photos on this site are incredible also. Had to go for a drive in the snow today just to enjoy the scenery and saw to large bull elk also...no pic tho'. So far I think the winter has been easy on the game in the foothills of the Blues.

CONGRATULATIONS LEMONDOG for your great field photo. It won enough votes from the judges to take the photo of the month for January. Tightest contest so far.
Coon- great photos, but if you indeed want to be part of the contest, you can only enter two or you are disqualified. I appreciate you sharing them, but you may want to do that in the regualr forum. SA in the middle of your photo doesn't help your chances either just as a side note.
ITS NOT TOO LATE to vote for the phot of the year. Thanks to everyone who participated. Keep an eye out for future contests. We are going to be adding some things and changing things a bit. Again, congrats Lemondog.
-
Wow, this is the second month in a row I agree with the winner...
Good job Lemondog. This photo has everything in my opinion. Great subject, large deer, washington animal, great composition, perfect exposure, and amazing background. Nice clean photo.

Hey Coonhunter, I love the pics but get rid of the red SA outline. Just so you know, its very easy to get rid of it if we want to steal your pics, but we dont.
