This was a long overdue R&R trip for me. I am always in search of a big buck but this year was about the peace and quiet. Life has been hectic and this was the perfect week. Had a great time with my father in law and brother in law. I spotted this buck bedded on day two of my 7 day hunt and decided to end it early and rest a bit. We saw lots of bears(one monster that I let get away). Two guys in camp shot bears. I saw a few better bucks after I shot mine but oh well.

Nice buck, is that first pic of him sleeping?
-
Way to go....that is a great buck! Can't believe you took a pic with him sleeping with your gun before you shot him! lol

It was a good year down there. I got to put my hands on a 190+ buck that was shot right behind our camp by a new group, first time in. He was incredible. Also another one on the way out that made the 190 look small!! Sorry, you all will be mad but I dont want to go posting pictures of another persons deer out of respect. But trust me they were big.

Nothin' wrong with that buck. Sounds like a great week.
-
That's a great buck. How far in did you guys pack?
-
About 5 hours in. Never really checked the miles. My inlaws have been going in now for over 30 years.
-
Nice looking buck! Congrats on the hunt. I love the Pack in hunts..far more fun and ya see a hell of a lot less of the crazies in orange

Actually I figured he was about a 3 year old. Young buck.
-
Good job. I would have pulled the trigger too. Congrats.

Lots of skulls this year. Not sure if its cats/wolves/winter. :dunno: Here is one skull we left behind in camp. Are these wolf tracks? They are about 4 inches long and 3 wide.
-
Alot of the skulls are nice mature deer. That is bs that cats and wolves only thrive on the weak. They are getting our deer. Time for some :guns: :mgun:
-
Good thing you guys left that skull behind  Might get a spanking if you didn't :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Good buck...and sure is nice to packem out with stock isn't it!!!
-
My son really wanted this little buck in his room. I finally got around to putting them on a board for him. Of course he had to have orange. The cheesy little kits only come with red so I had him pick out the felt he wanted and I fixed it up for him.
-
Sure look bigger with a toddler holding them. :chuckle:
-
Toddler? What do you mean, thats wastickslinger himself. He's just not wearing a Cougs shirt and finally shaved that Shaggy from Scooby doo beard. :chuckle:
-
That deer looks like that is as big as he's going to get pretty old good job hope the relaxation was good!!!
