Just a thought about late hunts..
looking to at least fill the freezer this year and i really don't want to eat this 250$ tag.
i will be hunting both weapon late hunts (multi-season tag).
just wanted to hear your thoughts on some options is all.
Good luck elk hunting guys!
-
safeway :chuckle: it's guaranteed to fill the freezer...
go out and get an elk!
-
yeah yeah yeah
i guess i set myself up for that.
but honestly any suggestions on where would be a good place that the deer have some numbers.
-
hunt a any deer area :dunno:
-
Yeah, pretty much any of the any deer units would be good if you're willing to just take a doe for the meat. Maybe get in with a property owner in NE washington to go kill a doe in a field?
-
i still want to hunt.
i dont want a deer tied up to a tree... :chuckle: :chuckle:
just wondering where there is some good deer numbers.
i am defiantly thinking about a doe this year.
-
If you're hunting antlerless, throw a dart at your page there, then log off, and go hunting ;)
-
You should have knowen you are going to get a lot of crap for a thread like this.

Do ML in 651 for buck and if you don't get a buck, then go for doe. :twocents:

You should probably stay out of 407 and 460. I've already called dibs.
-
If you see Hillbilly270 parked at the gate, he has the area all locked up to himself, so stay out :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
PM sent, but most any hunt is a good one for a doe. You'll fill that multi tag with a good buck before it becomes a problem, though.
-
I think there are plenty of deer in pretty much all of the units listed in the late seasons. I would think thats why they actually have a late season, because the deer numbers can support the extra pressure/harvest. Seems like a bunch of people have given some pretty good areas already, I would suggest spending time in one of the areas you have liked, learn it well and spend time in it. Good things will happen for you . Your odds will go up as you learn an area and spend time in it. I think you will have better odds by doing that than chasing suggestions and new areas. :twocents:

:IBCOOL:  :chuckle:

I would hunt in 113 the first couple days of the late season, nice bucks in that area with lots of deer overall. The other area that stands out to me is 101 with a bow from around the 19-24th of Nov. There is no better hunting. I don't meat hunt so I'm always thinking big bucks but its always nice to be in an area that they exist.
need more info PM me.

That should be in the joke section I was laughing so hard :chuckle:

454, enough said.
there is enough land around issaquah to hunt. all the area around tiger mountain has some nice bucks. also around the high point exit too.
-
From my experience in life, as short as it is: Teacher man knows his business. NE WA has got the deer, and if you're looking for a hunt, and if doe isn't outta the question...come over to this side of the state. Wherever you go, best of luck good sir
-
In your experience, could you take a doe in 101 without using a treestand with a bow? I am also taking my wife out for muzzle this year for her first deer. I was looking at 651 and 130. Any thoughts. I will make her take her victory picture in a bikini if it helps.
-
You guys have some of the sadest questions I have ever heard. If you cant find a dang deer then you should put up your bow and go home, sit on the computer and watch animated cartoons...
-
Safeway. :chuckle:

Safeway. :chuckle:
:chuckle: do you guys know whats on sale :P

Really, I guess you have hunted every inch of this state, in every gmu, with all three weapons, in early and late season. I wish I had that kind of knowledge and time, to aquire such wisdom, so as to never have to ask anyone a question about hunting an area. What it must be like to be such a great man. Your friends and family must be so proud that you were born into this world with such great intellect.
-
I can't believe you started this thread if all you really want is a doe??? :dunno: like someone else said throw a dart and go hunt and you'll get one ... unless your REAL motive was to get people talking so you could find someones buck spot!!! ;) Sorry Teach it looks like you been had!
-
Nahhh come on just making conversation...
-
Ya right!
-
:chuckle:
-
Seriously though. If you just want to fill a tag, go to Pullman for late muzzleloader. The deer are tasty and there are a ton. Knock on a door, maybe two but not likely, and you will have a spot to kill your doe. I can't imagine an easier place to fill a late muzzleloader tag.
-
ok thanks! i will look into that
!
-
id hit those whitetails on the ea side, rattle them basterds in. i had a guy show last year, there crazy the damn thing walked half way around us at 20-25yrds stopped than decided to finally run. way diff then rattling blacktails
-
yeah for sure thought about that....
i might head over to 633...
-

YOU are too late...Its MINE.

lmao :chuckle:

I wouldn't say I have been had, all I have told the individual is goods dates and GMU numbers. And to answer his question, yes you could get a doe in 101 with a bow and no stand but why? That time of year if you find a doe look a little closer and you most likely have found a buck ;) GMU 101 and 113 are really big, that's no secret :chuckle:
Like I said why would you want to shoot a doe? :chuckle:
-
If you do go, PM me and I can give you directions to a place that will give you permission and you are guaranteed a deer. Not much of hunt, but a sure-fire way to fill the freezer.
-
Go hunting, find your animal, take aim and shoot it:)
-
Maybe get a hold of this guy looks like he could help :chuckle: :chuckle:

When I look at the title of this post, the answer is simple - log off, go hunt...ANYWHERE in the state. In my opinion, it comes down to YOUR effort and doing YOUR own homework to be successful and get the most out of any hunt. :twocents:

I would have to agree with bow4elk. When I first watched that youtube video, I was thinking is that backwoods_boy..... No can't be he is actually outside and not on a computer asking questions about hunting. The problem may have something to do with having 1737 Huntwa posts in a little over a year of being a member??????? ???
