here's one for you. A buddy of mine killed this in September with his bow.
any guesses on score?
-
yep, I know the score.
-
I dont know, 178 gross?
-
I'm probably way low, but i'll guess about 155....
Dandy archery buck though!
-
161 2/8 gross
-
nice buck i will say 160ish gross looks like one my brother killed a few years back he was 162" he has a 5th point on one side instead of the 4 points on the other but not many more deductions than that i will say net 155
-
I might add that it's a canadian buck well over 300lbs
-
Big enough I'd say.
-
I'd say 180ish. :dunno: Probably not quite as big as some of the bucks in Oregon. ;)
-
With that extra few inches off his left G3, I will go 163.
-
166 gross.
-
remind me to post it on Monday.... sorry but I have to run and look for some elk to hunt. good luck to anyone else headed out..
-
170"
-
Just under 160 net. Hard to say by a single photo.
-
Made a couple adjustments to see it better. I'm in the low 160 class thinking as well. :twocents:
-
183"
-
Looks about 175" ish to me. Hard to tell the inside spread. Gross could be a little higher if he really weighs 300lbs. I think that in line is about 5".
-
177 gross
-
168-3/8" GROSS :dunno:
-
173 15/16
-
173 15/16
:chuckle:
-
173 15/16
:chuckle:
I might be off by 1/32 on the second mass measurement on the right side. A blade of grass is obstructing my total view. :chuckle:

LMAO

Nice buck! I'd say about 163!
-
I bet that buck is 140 to 150 tops. Very nice animal though.
-
Look at he deep forks you guys. Sure he isnt very wide (from the picture) Each one of those points are 9+ inches long and he has good mass. That is far more than a 160 buck. I came up with 180+ With only a 16" inside spread and 26" outside credits. That buck is quality! Of course we would all love to see two more angles to properly guess.
Whats he score?
-
181 3/8 ;)
-
I'm going to give it a 172.. great buck
-

With only 9" long g3's and g4's he would need to be substantially wider than he is to reach 180. He looks to have shrot mains, maybe 21-22" and his tip to tip is short as well, maybe 20". Don't get me wrong I think he is a very nice buck but I'm sticking with mid/low 160 gross.
-
are we going to get a score told to us sometime? :chuckle:

This is what he posted

Here is another picture that might help. Had to boil the skull before bringing it back to the US.
-
Very nice buck Pyseeker. Welcome to the site :hello:

How did you get that picture to so clear????
-
I didn't do anything to the picture, it's actually a cell phone picture.
-
166 3/8
-

I was referring to the reply from phool, the picture after he made adjustments is allot clearer :dunno:
-
well maybe I should begin removing the foot from my mouth! ha ha :chuckle: The stove top picture tells me I over guestamated. Im still gonna give the sucker 170+ gross. Some of those points are not 9' like I thought. A second angle always helps! I wouldnt hesitate shooting that buck any day of the week I can tell you that :)
-
The g3's & g4's are all over 10".
-
Well, there were some pretty close guesses out there. He's 26" wide and grossed 174 7/8". The main beams were the only real weakness making the inside spread only 18 4/8". I want to thank BLUEBULLS for talking me into joining this site, it's pretty cool to see what everyone else is up to.

Dang I was almost off by an inch with my 173 15/16 guess. I better keep practicing. :chuckle:
-
Damn nice buck, but I would have never guessed the G3s and 4s to be over 10". Appear to be 7 inchers to me, but hey, can't argue with you if you measured them! Still sticking to my low 160s score. Congrats on a fine trophy anyhow and thanks for getting this guessing game going!
-
My first thought was about 170, I'll guess a gross of 171
-
actionshooter why you still guessing they posted the score 4 posts ago lol see huntnphool you beg enough some one who knows will tell us lol :P :chuckle:
-
OOPPS :chuckle:
Well at least I was close
-
good guess lol

Its 174, why still say its 160? :dunno: :stirthepot:

Here are a couple pictures with the tape still on the antlers from being scored by Byron Eastman, it looks like the 2's & 3's are what they are...
-
Here's another.
-
I meant the 3's & 4's....Sorry!!!!
-
No need to explain yourself PYSEEKER, It is just tough to judge from pics. It's a damn nice buck.
-
Nice buck. It just goes to show how a set of horns with a lot of mass can make the other measurements seem smaller by comparison. I was in total agreement with MtnMuley on tine length.
-
Body size on that buck was the thing that got me... I was gonna guess 175 after looking at him for awhile... Congrats thats a sweet buck
-
Nice man, I knew it was a good one. I over guessed a bit.
-
i would say 164 but hard to tell with his head on the side. cant see fifth point good. dang nice buck no matters what score
-
funny how people are still guessing even though the actual score has been posted....... :chuckle:
