This is all I got in the email, so I can't verify the story but regardless, check out this buck! If it's true I hope the loser pays dearly for his greed.
As you can see this buck belongs now to the OSP. It will end up in the Wall of Shame Van for shows.
The guy killed it on my neighbors place and was told not to hunt the place. No Trespassing and No Hunting signs. The owner of the land saw him shoot the buck, get it over the fence and drive away to his how. OSP was waiting for him... Looks like he lost the rifle also.
I have an OSP Game Officer across the street and up the street and another about a mile away... Lucky me... Anyway...
It was killed out in Sandy OR off the Sandy River near Dodge park
-
Wow!! Look at the mass on that hog!
-
what a shame dandy deer, hope he gets some jail time and gets to meat big bubba :chuckle:
-
Gorgeous buck, so sad he was killed in such a disrespectful way.
-
What a waist
-
Awesome buck! Is that the troopers rifle or the does it belong to the idot that poached him?
-
:yike: :yike: What a freaking monster blacktail!!!!!!!!!!!!
A buck of a lifetime, and some scum feeding @$%&&#%^^% shoots him illegally!!!!!!!!! Hope he goes from tight end to wide receiver in the jailhouse football team!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
Fricken makes me sick, greedy, poaching SOB!!! He needs to rot in jail. Worst part is, a pos like that doesn't care if he loses his hunting rights; just keeps poaching.
-
That thing is absolutely huge, possible state record? Stories like that are what give hunters a bad name...sad. :(
-
That is a stud blacktail, to bad it was harvested illegally.
-
That is really sad. :( What a Monster Deer. I hope the guy gets what he diserves. Im really sick of the people who are giving the good lawful hunters a bad name. It seems to get worse every year. :bash: :bash: :bash:
-
that sucks, what a waste
-
osp will have that one on display. to bad he didn't do it legal.awesome buck 150 plus for sure.
-
Firstlight, I do not think it gets worse every year it just gets reported more often and receives more publicity. There is some good to everyone having cell phones. But like most things there is bad in it also, as mentioned it gives all HUNTERS a bad name even though this guy was not a HUNTER but a POACHER >:(...big difference. It would be nice if the media would call him what he is a poacher but it seldom happens :bash:.
As for the deer what an awesome animal. Great mass, beautiful color, holy smokes look at that width, and a double throat patch. What a buck.
-
I bet he scores 150 to 160.Too bad he was taken illegally.
Mike
-
Damn, too bad what a hog!
-
that is a dandy. i really like the double throat patches on his cape.what a massive buck.its a shame
-
Oh my god...that thing is frickin big!!!!
-
thats one big ass blacktail, and lets all remember folks he got this in an email which probably means forward which means this could be a totally legit kill that someone started sending around last i checked osp does not have blue pickup trucks

My thoughts EXACTLY!
-
beautiful buck..where would anyone get satisfaction poaching or harvesting any animal illegally
-
That might be my favorite blacktail of all time....
-
Well I might as well quit hunting blacktail. That is the buck I always dreamed about getting and now he is dead. :bash:
Stinkin Poachers. :(
-
I got this email about a week ago. What a pig buck!
MS
-
OH MY, OH MY......WOW!
-
That might be my favorite blacktail of all time....
most impressive I have ever seen.
-
If I was the one that shot it Id put a framed copy of the trooper and the buck with my trespassing citation on the wall. Does that make me a bad person? :dunno:
-
I will agree. I think that is hands down the most impressive blascktail I have ever seen. There are those that will score higher but he's got it all. He is one of the true NW blacktails. Not one of those long tined California blacktail that have antlers resembling young muleys. That right there would be my ultimate trophy!!!!! thanks for posting
-
I read somewhere on another thread that in this state if a buck is shot on private property that the shooter gets something like a $300 dollar trespassing fine and still gets to keep the animal. Now supposedly this guy gets the deer taken, his rifle taken, and will get a large fine and possibly hunting rights taken away. Why is the Oregon laws so much more strict than Washington's, or were the original threads that I read incorrect.
-
For a once in a decade blacktail it might be worth it.
-

The story is true, a local guy shot it on private property without permission. It happened last Saturday about 10 minutes from my house. The buck and rifle were confiscated. Think I heard it was green scored around 158 and change.
OSP has switched over to blue pick-ups.
-
WOW Need i say more?
-
:yike:
-
HOLY CRAP! That is the blacktail of a lifetime! Stupid poachers!

ok thanks for the confirmation i was just saying you cant always believe everything you read in an email, but it sounds like you have first hand knowledge
-
:o    That thing is awesome!
-
That is definately a large blacktail. You don't see those to often.
-
Wow that is one big beautiful buck. Sad there are people out there that have to cheat to get a trophy.
-
What a pig of a deer.
-
>:( >:(
That makes me as mad as the scum poachers who shoot more game than they are allowed here in WA. There are a lot of poachers who don't tag their animals or they just get another tag.
Dang poachers!
-
What a waste!!!!

That is a good score. But it is still a green score.
Mike
-
I hope he lost his truck too. What a crock. Dandy buck, lousy poacher.

News paper story says "class a misdomeaner" not much more than a speeding ticket. :bash:
-
That has to be one of the most impressive blacktails I've ever seen! You can really see the mass on the first couple of pics.
-
what a shame dandy deer, hope he gets some jail time and gets to meat big bubba :chuckle:
This comment gets my vote for Freudian slip of the year! :chuckle:
-
this is a monster i wonder if it is a cross bread
-
as the kids say nowadays.....OMG...
That right there is all you ever wanted in a blacktail! DANG!!!!!
-
this is a monster i wonder if it is a cross bread
Well I don't think be because it looks the same as mine.
-
Sorry to be the one to say it Track-er. The Sandy (OR) buck does not look like your beautiful buck, to me. Both deer probably have had or do have mule deer genes but that matters not one tiny bit to me, anyway. Not to take anything away from your absolutly beautiful buck, but that Sandy buck has more blacktail in it by far than your dandy. I would shoot either one in a hot second, period. Standing side by side I always have and always will take mass over score or inches every day of my life. I truly didn't think your buck would be topped on the west side this year and it hasn't. The other is in Oregon and to bad the fella is a tresspasser but I think he killled it during season just not where he had permission to hunt, if I read the stories right. Not a poacher to me, but still illegal.
