Went to Wholesale Sports yesterday to pick up a cot for deer camp. They had tons of Black Hills blue box ($32 for 50 rds) and HSM ($24 for 50 rds) .223 V-Max ammo... plus, a bunch of Rem, PMC, etc. Looks like things are starting to get back to normal. :IBCOOL:

Down here in Vancouver, Bi Mart has a pretty good stock of ammo right now.
Except for .35 Remington of course. :bash:

Is $.64/ea a good deal on Black Hills blue box?
-
i was in the bi mart in the dalles oregon today after the 3d shoot and they had 35 rem come in and i think they had like 5 boxes. and .65 is not a super deal on that black hills stuff but at least you can find it. that is why i reload :chuckle:

Did they have any HSM .204ruger on sale too?

Thanks for the headsup. I'll have to check both Vancouver stores tomorrow.

Not sure... but, I saw a bunch of .204 for about $32 per box (in V-Max and hp) about a month ago... give them a call.

That is what I pay for my Black hills blue box 69gr match point hp's for my AR in .223. Thats $32 for a box of 50 bullets. If you reload you can cut that cost down to about a third of that.

Cabela's had a bunch of Fiocchi .223 V-Max loads at the Post Falls store on Friday. In three of my .223s, the 40 gr V-Max loads (3650 fps) shoot 1/2 moa or better (I'm sure that they will shoot as well in my other .223s). Needless to say, I have about 500 rounds put up and will get more in the near future. This load shoots as good or better than any factory load I've ever shot (to include Black Hills, Ultramax, Federal, etc.), and will be my primary coyote load.
The 50 gr V-Max loads (3150 fps) are also excellent and were on sale for about $22 per box of 50... I grabbed 150 rounds. Go to the Cabela's website and see the comments on the Fiocchi .223 V-Max loads... very accurate, American-made ammo... at a great price.

That is a pretty good price on the Fiocchia ammo. Thanks for the tip, The 40 grs V-max stuff sounds like a lot of fun. But 40 grainers are a pain in the winds of Wyoming on a PD shoot, nice out to 200 yds.
