Had him do his doe less than 10 yards from me. Too close for pics even. I'd have let the air out of him in a heartbeat with my Sapphire. He nailed her again about 3 minutes later. AWESOME with Lil and Booner at my side.

-
Cool pic. I guess he would be a legal three point w/ those eye guards.
-
Nice pic.
Looks like all the bucks in Lincoln, huge two point with itty bitty eye guards.
-
nice find! I like him!
-
Even as a two, I consider this guy a TROPHY. Man he was awesome.

Saw one much like that over in Wilbur a few years ago, big old roman nose and white face, sway back everything indicating a mature deer. Just didn't have those eye guards or he'd of been on the wall. You think that bucks regressing Doug, or has he always been a two and will end up producing two's?
-
Eye guards put him in the legal category.
Any pics of him head on or walking away bone???
-
He's a great two year old :chuckle:
-
Here you go buckmark. Not sure Goldtip. His face doesn't look that old.

I got some pics I just love of this guy, whether it was pose, or situations like this.

I agree completely Doug, some of those pics actually look like he is a younger deer from his face anyway. Hope you can track him down next year and see what becomes of him.
-
Thanks Bone, love the pic of him looking straight away, ears covering those eye guards..
-
Sweet pic's Bone. I would let the air outa him also. Then put him on the wall.
Another nice mature 2 point. He needs to be culled out of the herd.
-
Good to see a buck like that spreading the gene pool! Nice pics!
-
Looks like a young 2 point to me. He may be come somthing or not but he doesn't have a lot of mass yet.
-
looks like he might fork out in the back in the future.............. :dunno: just guessing
-
Saw that too Moss. He really could go eitherway, maybe I'll be able to find him next year and we'll know. I've found several repeat bucks this year. I am investigating the inthe shadows buck. He looks amazingly similiar to one from last year that I thought was bigger and I found him within 100 yards from where I photographed the other buck. Need to gander. Last years buck was WAY more impressive too me, so maybe its just genetics.
-
With my LB in hand, I'd drop the string for sure... not with the '06 though...
Sweet pics Doug!!!
-
wow... that is a big forked horn. I would love to see them big two points get taken out of the jean pool. He probably won't be any better than a big two point.
-
Nice forked horn! :)
-
I like the picture with his tongue out, He look like he just got a taste of something good. :chuckle:
Mike
-
Did you tell your daugter he was tired and she was giving him a piggy back ride... :dunno:
-
pow pow ;)
-
Super Forks. If legal, I would take one. Look good on the wall.
-
Heres another legal one.....have to let the carpenters guess the eyeguard for me anyway. :chuckle:
I'm surprised this pic turned out. Its either bluebird or blizzard. Hard to tell in this picture but it was blowing that real fine snow and actually stacking up quick. Pain to try to shoot in, ESPECIALLY when your camera isn't water proof.

-
Good lord!!! that is a sweet fork horn buck.......I'd shoot too!!! ;)
-
He's legal, someone tag him.
-
This one is a true two...is that like a true spike. LOL Anyhow, not sure if I should put this guy in A guy I remember or here. Madison and I saw him and photo'd him about 75 yards from where this pic was taken exactly a year ago.

-
Bad eye? He was several inches wider last year.
-

-
I would shoot him, he would taste goo and look great on my wall :chuckle:
-
Me two! Looks like he'll split in the rear next year.
-
I think he was last year. Gotta find his pic
-
I jockied for a better pic, but though it looks like he is in the open from one angle...from another he is not...
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv47%2Fboneaddict%2FAntler%2520Images%2FthickII.jpg&hash=c2a15025cac6f334de88bef440307ff11e8443ff)

There were two of them together. Think this is the pic

-
Damn, he's a full-framed fork! Maybe he regressing?
-
Damn, a super Fork like that could get a guy in some real trouble if he wasn't careful.......
-
I found a two like that two years ago in the Methow that had been shot and left. Guys just see big horns and assume that there will be a third point somewhere. I spent a solid 10 minutes this year staring down a two point that was almost as big as some of those bucks down on the Klickitat, but he was just a big two. Made me real mad. >:(
-
no one has shot him yet
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv47%2Fboneaddict%2FAntler%2520Images%2Fstillalive.jpg&hash=0c77df3e8032f46f8917adfa988cd8791a490061)
-
I'm very impressed with the quality of those forks...its a bit sad they are only forks...I hope they are just young deer with great genetics...
-
SOme real superforks there Bone.
-
he looks young looke like he might fork off those g2s next year
-
bump....(so I can add a pic tonight)
-
Thats a good lookin 3 pt!
-
Saturday afternoon while traveling southbound on I-82 between the Wapato exit and the 1st Toppenish exit I seen 2 does on the side of the freeway almost a mile apart. About a half mile past the 2nd doe walking along the fenceline was a big forkie like the one in your picture. Wish I got a pic and that's the 1st buck I've seen in the yakima river herd.
-
THis is THREE years from the photos posted....... approxiamately 2 feet from where I filmed him three years ago. I was assuming it was an offspring....though the characteristics of his antlers with the base size and moss is causing some doubts in my mind of a younger deer......so, I suppose it could be recessed or it could be an offspring. I guess God knows and Huntwa will guess.

-
Oh we'll guess alright! Probably a few pages worth
-
My little brother loves shooting those big 2 points with eye gaurds.
-
Beautiful healthy buck!.. Nice...
-
Fricken great shots Doug...nice.
I saw a forky yesterday that was similar to that wide, full framed one a page up or so... but he had a crab claw on his G2 making him a 2X3...
I also saw two very nice whitetails yesterday...on public...easy shots... but was at work!!!!! :bash:
Thinking of going back to take a look OFF work tomorrow!
-
Where in the holy geewillikers do you guy's hang out that you see deer with HORNS ever?
I love out in the sticks of South Kitsap county and we got a lot of deer, all skin heads though.. :( Went 200 miles in to the brush and forests of the peninsula only to find 4 does. Only buck seen this year is in a guy's front yard 2 blocks from the court house eating apples...
Maybe I should shower more and shout less when I'm in the woods...
Fantastic photography! I really appreciate your work! And for the 2 point! That' s a big sexy deer and this new one looks like it could be his offspring! :) :)
