Thats an awesome buck for that area.  Holy COW even!  No whitetail in that bad boy, maybe some blackie genes!  VERY NICE!

looks to me more like he has some blacktail characteristics  in him. just the way the horns look in the 3rd pic has got blacktail written all over, just a bit to big though

I wasn't meaning to imply he had whitetail blood, he just had the look of some of the crossed bucks I've seen pics of from places like Kansas.  Where is tampico?

I spent some time up Nasty Creek area one year, and seen some crosses up there, maybe this guy does have a little blackie in him?

That's a nice buck, here's one that came from the same area in 1996. Blacktail cross? Prolly.

Ive seen some nice bucks up that way while elk hunting but ive been up there a few times deer hunting and never seen anything worth even thinkin about puttin a tag on, but i guess thats how it works. and yes it does seem that all those bucks have a lot of blacktail in them

Didn't see much deer sign up there at all during the late archery season, I think the lice has done a number on the deer herd all over the Yakima GMU's.
