being that I am quite the hillbilly the much more sofistcated coonhound will be posting the pics. dont know alot about it just that the guy killed it opening day of late archery near the town of tampico I might be able to get the hunter to become a member and tell the story. thanks again coonhound JB

looks to me more like he has some blacktail characteristics in him. just the way the horns look in the 3rd pic has got blacktail written all over, just a bit to big though

I wasn't meaning to imply he had whitetail blood, he just had the look of some of the crossed bucks I've seen pics of from places like Kansas. Where is tampico?

I spent some time up Nasty Creek area one year, and seen some crosses up there, maybe this guy does have a little blackie in him?

Thats a dandy buck, tampico has some big buggers up there. Heres a 4x6 i shot in 04 in tampico, one those mulie/blacktail xbreeds. Horns look pure whitetail.

Ive seen some nice bucks up that way while elk hunting but ive been up there a few times deer hunting and never seen anything worth even thinkin about puttin a tag on, but i guess thats how it works. and yes it does seem that all those bucks have a lot of blacktail in them

Didn't see much deer sign up there at all during the late archery season, I think the lice has done a number on the deer herd all over the Yakima GMU's.
