I was thinking of a guided trip any suggestions out there?

Not sure about the guided thing. As snows are a hit an miss deal. They aren't like hunting ducks or candians. This is their wintering grounds.

I am going with Bryce from NorthSoundWatefowl.com on Saturday. His price is quite affordable I think. I will let you know how it goes after the hunt!
If you are interested in travelling, and you are SERIOUS about it, maybe we should talk. I hunted snows in Mound City, Missouri last spring during conservation season. Guides run an average of $150-200/day and work over 900-1000 decoys with layout and pit blinds. During conservation season there is no limit on snows usually.
Mound City gets more snows than anywhere else in the United States I believe. Google "Squaw Creek Wildlife Refuge". I want to go back in late april/early march but so far nobody wants to go with me, LOL.

You should get birds if the wind continues, unfortunately your hunting smaller fields located next to the road or close to the quality hunts. Good luck.

Yeah I'm counting on being in good period during migration. Two weeks ago up there I saw 4 snows, last week I saw more than I could count. So I'm kind of hoping there just ends up being more than we know what to do with.

awesome, I can't wait. I've only spoken with Bryce through phone and email, but he seems to be a pretty cool guy.

I've hunted with Bryce a couple times, he's a great guy and really knows his stuff.

The last few weeks have been good shooting, so it should be a good one for you. Lots of grey birds to shoot at.
-
i'm not picky, I already have a mounted mature snow so i'm good with juvies all day long

Bryce Royce Justin and Chris are all great guys! if the weathers right you will have a great shoot but know matter what, your going to have a freaking blast.

Dustin07 I've got some friends in Indiana I could visit for this reason. What time abouts in spring?
-
I hunted with Chris from Northsound several times this year and he is a great guide. We did one Snow Goose trip and a few duck trips. I'm new to waterfowling and he took the time to explain everything and I learned a ton from him. Overall it was a great experience and intro to waterfowling.
Cheers!

I'm not sure about Indiana's regs, but in MO it's Feb-March with the hottest time being first week of march, last week of feb (weather dependant of course). a lot of those guides follow the snows all the way down to their wintering grounds, then chase them back up to Canada.
