Title: First Blacktail
Post by: timberghost72 on November 22, 2009, 06:38:02 PM: Well it's not a monster but its meat in the freezer. Second time I have hunted for Blacktail. I usually hunt NE. After an unsuccessful General Season it's nice not to have tag soup :)

Well my buddy and I think this deer is an older deer and has reverted back to a spike. I think that can happen but I'm not an expert. Maybe someone here knows? He is very grey, his hooves are thrashed and curled up alot and his teeth are also very worn. But who knows??? He was 108lbs dressed out at the butcher.

He would make a great euro-mount.
