Title: Adams Arms AR15 piston conversion kit???
Post by: atomicjoe23 on November 25, 2009, 10:03:50 PM
Does anyone know anything about this, used it themselves, or heard anything about this company.

They offer a piston conversion kit for the AR-15/M-16. . .I just saw it in Mid South Shooter's Supply and it's the first one I have seen. I know that LMT makes a conversion kit, but it only works with their one-piece MRP system.

I'm getting ready to build my first AR-15. . .I wanna use the LaRue Stealth billet lower which necessitates the purchase of a LaRue Stealth billet upper (not a bad thing) but it's a DGI system and not a piston system which I would prefer. . .and I'm not gonna purchase two uppers, but since I'm building from scratch I don't mind buying a conversion kit and skipping the actual conversion. . .

Thanks!

AJ23, I cannot offer an answer to your question, but if you have not already been over to AR15.com I would recommend a visit. They even have a forum specifically aimed at piston systems, seen here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=3&f=126

Beware, their is some BS to wade through over there, but if you stay out of GD it is generally not too bad.
