A friend sent me these photos of another Idaho wolf taken recently.....
-
More good news!! Look at the size of that thing!!!
Do you know where on the St. Joe? I used to work that forest and back then there were wolf rumors, now they are all over. Found tracks myself south of Avery this year near the Northfork of the Clearwater.

That elk herd has been devastated and they have done wonders on the deer too. Moose, what moose.
Those are the bes tkind of wolf pictures

A beautiful trophy and a testament to Idaho's ability to make the best of something that was shoved down their (and WY, and MT) throats 14 years ago.
-
Looks like an older animal to me.... :twocents:
Don't know exactly where it was taken, he just told me the St Joe. Probably in past Avery, that country is full of them, well not quite as full now... :chuckle:
Idaho is doing their best to get all 220, they have extended the season to reach the target. The people are feeling a little better now that wolves are finally being managed and some big city judge hasn't shut it down on them yet... :twocents:

Awesome :brew:

Those Avery locals are pissed about the wolves. bet they're happy to see them get thinned out. I think a wolf hunt or 5 may be in my future. :chuckle:
I worked there in the summer of 91. There were rumors back then and the college kids would go out howling at night to see if any answered, I don't think they ever heard any. One day we thought we saw one run in front of us in the fog but it could have been a cat. :dunno: Whatever it was it was big.

NOT WORTH MY TIME to loose my dogs!
Make a recording of the hounds. Set up a game call in the woods and when the wolves come in for dinner, feed them :guns: :guns: :guns:

I was thinkin my backyard, and I think I know what your answer will be, but if wdfw can sneak wolves in alive illegaly we should be able to sneak some out dead, they will be well behaved wolves, won't make a sound. ;)

alright another one bites the dust
-
I love seeing that dead elk killer!
Ive offered to spend the cost of a nonres tag to go kill one...and theres tons of guys (other than bearpaw :P) that know where they are...
wanna see another one dead? PM me and take me out there!! Theres lots of guys who know where they are and talk like they hate em...lets team up!
PS- thats a nice looking wolf! How do they taste??
-
Someone needs to trap a yote. When you drop a collard wolf put the tag around the yotes neck and let it go, that should keep them guessing :chuckle:
-
Like mulehunter said, there are lots of them up the St Joe, just go over yourself if you can't find somebody to ride around. I don't think electronic callers are nlegal though...take a hand call, I would take a coyote howler, that will upset the wolves... :chuckle:
-
That' devious huntnphool :IBCOOL:......I like the way you think !!
-
x2 :chuckle:
-
Here's another wolf pic my friend sent me of another friend of his, not as big of wolf, but awesome color....
-
:) I thank lord that State of Idaho get a way to smash Evironemistlist people to allow all of hunter to kill them. I can't believe why Pro-wolf hugger Group earn 4.7 billion dollar worth of settlements lawsuits over stupid wolves.
Pissed me off.
Mulehunter >:(
