Title: Which One?
Post by: Emptyhanded on December 08, 2009, 07:46:44 PM
I need some new broadheads and have narrowed it down to magnus and stick trick. How do the magnus fly? I have heard that the slick tricks fly really well  :dunno: Which one would you pick? Are buzzcuts legal in Wa? Thanks!

Magnus Stingers fly well.  I was cutting fletching at 40 yards with them.  Couldn't tell you how they perform on game first hand though.  I switched to Hellrazors for my late hunt as they were hitting really hard on my target when compared to the Stinger.  Can't beat Magnus' warranty though.  I would think the Buzzcuts are legal.  They semms to satisfy the broadhead regulations.  I know nothing about the Slick Tricks as I've never used them.

Buzzcuts are legal in washington. I use them. Haven't shot any animals with them, but they fly true. I have no complaints. I have seen blood trails from others that use them on other hunting sites and was impressed. Plus Magnus has a life time warranty on their broadheads. I don't think you are going to find any other manufacturers with a no questions asked warranty on your broadheads.

I shoot slick trick.  Very good BH.  My friend shoot Wac-em.  He got complete pass-thru @ 50 yards.

I switched to 125gr Magnus 4 blade Stingers this season, was using 100gr Thunderheads before.  They fly and group well in my setup.   I shoot a 10 year old Martin bow at just over 200fps and the one Stinger I've shot at an elk made it through my 4x5 Toutle bull in Sept.  Only one data point so far but I'm very happy with them.
