Title: Bow shop props
Post by: bullcanyon on December 08, 2009, 09:29:28 PM
Went down and visited Cory at XXXArchery in Rainier Or today.  I knew he had a destroyer in and was anxious to shoot it.  This was my first time there and I must say that it might just be one of my best experiences with a bow shop ever.  I'm very picky about my bows and how they are set up.  Most shops don't know much and are all about getting you to buy something no matter what.  I didn't get that impression from Cory at all.  He was very straight foreward and down to earth.  I would consider him to be one of the more knowledgeable bow techs that I've had the pleasure to chat with.  He was all about letting me shoot anything he had.  Actually took the time to set up a bow for me to shoot that I wasn't even asking about.  Just so I knew what was what.  He definetly made a good impression on me.

I highly recomend that you guys swing in and shoot some of the bows he has.  I look for a reason to not trust a bow shop and I didn't find one with this shop.  He pays attention to little details that I bet most won't even recognize.

Oh yeah.  The destroyer is all that and a bucket of ribs.  Just in case you were wondering.  That bow will be a hit this year.  I want to shoot a couple more bows before I drop the cash, but if I had to choose today.  I'd be ordering a destroyer.  What caught me was how easy that pin stayed on the spot I wanted to hit.  My current allegience really shoots well for me, but this bow seemed to hold a tad steadier on the spot.  Scary how well this bow will make us shoot:)

bullcanyon, thanks for sharing your experience.  I'm saving my coins for a new 2010 bow.  This spring, I plan to make a 2.5 hour trip south to visit xXxArchery.

Go over the bridge from longview into oregon and it will be the first light after the clover leaf. (don't go up the hill) Take a left at the light and they are on the right.  You will see the muffler shop over there by it. I think they are behind a church.

Good to see a good review of a bow shop on here.  That he happens to be a member as well is even better!  Congrats to Corey for earning a bit of free advertising that sounds very well deserved.  Thanks for the write up.

Thanks for the info..  I plan on making the 1.5 hr trip when I get this years tax return.  I sent a pm to xXx and he offered to hold an Omen for me without ever even meeting me.  Sounds like good people to me.

He had a few omens on the wall.  I'm looking forward to trying an axe6.  I'd like to compare all the speed demons together before I decide.
