Lets say you got a animal you want turned into a rug with head mount. When doing the field work after shoot what should you do before taking it to a taxidermist?

get the guts out, skin it as per Michelle's instructions, get as much meat and fat off from it without slicing and dicing the hide. Leave the head unskinned unless you know what you are doing. get it cool Fast. Salt it if you are out aways from your taxidermist. Don't use iodized salt.

I read it and am good to go. Leave feet, Tail And head. PS I updated the list with food being brought and the meet.
