Title: just finished my plinker..

i got this marlin .22 about 10 yrs ago and used it for plinken then thought it would be fun to experiment with. i raised the cheek pad and built a heavy forearm, then textured and sericoated. thought i would share incase some one else wants ideas for a hobby gun through the winter

I'd like to hear more about how you did this.
it was really simple, i just sanded it down then used bondo to build it up were i wanted it. after i got it shaped i used some epoxy and coated the stock for a base coat once this dried i used a wrinkle spray you can get at ace for texture it needs to dry for like 3 days then once hard i used another coat of epoxy for protection and when the epoxy started to get tacky i used an ultra flat spray paint.  ;) here is a couple different pic.

for the barrel you can get some cold cerakote online at brownells its about 40$. i did the bake on and dont recommend it unless u want your a$$ kicked by the woman :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
