lol! jesus thats a lot of green... solid work! you seein many pins up there? im passin on pintail cause we limit on them in the first 10 shots. they are in THICK in snohomish county. we're gettin some with nice double pins, but man we're cussin them like you'd normally cuss teal. its crazy. the giant headed northern mallards are finally showing.
-
We are seeing lots of pintails. Probably over 200 this morning. I would have shot one or two if I saw a sprague with with a long tail. Didn't see a one today. Lots of juvies. We have also had lots of teal, but no wigeon lately.
-
10-4, the widgeon defiantly seem to have moved out. we are seein, and have taken a couple nice bull sprigs though...
-
Crazy how the widgeon havent really showed yet! The mallards are out in full force tho!! Congrats on a great shoot man!

Damn, I need to go hunting with you!

I have seen a lot of widgeon where I have been hunting. There is one 80 acre field in Edison that had 6 inches of grass in it last week. There is a flock of thousands of widgeon that have mowed it into dirt in a week. We just need a 40 MPH Northerly wind to disperse some of these ducks.

A week ago, we had a ton of wigeon. Now that it has frozen up they moved out and the mallards have come in. Try to keep the wigeon over there. :chuckle: I like shooting the mallards the most.

Nice shoot ;)

Nice shoot by the way. I like shooting them all but prefer mallards also. There is just a lot more meat on them. Last Thursday there was a pretty sunset right before shooting hours ended and lots of mallards were coming in. The pink sun light on the mallards as they set there wings was awesome to see. I watched for a second before I let them have it. They look prettier when they are in my dogs mouth :)

Oh ya! That looks like a whole lot of fun!
