Title: Wac'em Broadheads Legal?

Post by: hogsniper on December 14, 2009, 06:03:29 PM: There is currently a damage hunt going on and the first thing they have been doing is checking guy's broadheads. You are right, they are considered barbed but the LEO's have been letting guys go with just a warning for now!

so they are soying that they are illegal. I was checked this year and the Gamie said all my gear looked good.
But if they are illegal then what about the strikers the are like twins??

They take a card and slide it in that little slot on the back of the broadhead, if it can fit in it they consider it to be barbed! Doesnt make any sense to me but what does in this state!!!!

I agree with you hog it is just one more thing to have control on.

Post by: 3dvapor on December 16, 2009, 08:05:22 PM: i wouldnt change if you like them. we were told shuttle t's and slick tricks were illegal too until 65 threads later proved to be false. ive killed a few bulls with them but have trouble with bloodtrails even on great shots im usually watching them fall over or hear them drop but finding blood is always tough even knowing his exact route. they fly great! i dont know what ill change too though.

It is funny that the state already said the wacem broad head was lwagle and now every one is saying they are not.

I am only going off the 2 archery shops that i frequent and both have had the game warden tell them NO they are not legal, and have had several people confirm this as they were buying new broadheads because they had warnings from the local officer.
Hey the local warden was also warning about shuttle t and than had to retract on that, so maybe your correct and i would like to know who told you they were legal.
Everyone needs to get on the same page here.

Post by: belkaholic on January 06, 2010, 10:13:18 PM: if you want to shoot them and am afraid of getting in trouble, go to great northwest archery at skookem range on shaw road in puyallup and ask doug for the official letter from wdfw that clearly states that they are legal. make a copy of it and if someone hassels you, show them the letter and tell them to stuff it. END OF SUBJECT!!!!

Post by: WonkyWapiti on February 01, 2010, 10:49:54 PM: I used these for four years then due to being told by staff at an archery shop that they were illegal I made a switch. I went to Hell Razors and they worked pretty darn well on my elk this past season. :)
