Let' start with some scenery.
-
Here is camp and we have visitors.
-
Small bucks pre rut not far from camp.
-
Here is some antelope in the same area we are hunting.
-
The first buck shot was my friend. A nice 4 by 4 25 incher no eye gaurds. The fist 2 pics are the buck before he shot it. :o
-
Same buck back at camp. This is kind of a cool picture.
-
cool looking area
-
Okay the 2nd buck was 5 by 6 21 inch buck. The second pic is the same buck with a very nice shed I found. We found 6 sheds this trip but this one is the biggest.
-
Finally my buck I was looking for a big buck I have 2 deer mounted from this area.I saw 2 buck this trip that were wall hangers but could not get on them.2nd to last day I shot this decent 4 by 5 23 incher.I think he is a beautiful deer.
-
Looks like the southern Bighorns foothills - am I close?? If I had to guess, west slope south of Tensleep?
-
No but good guess. The trip wouldn't be complete with out a little fishing out of the Shoshone river . :chuckle:
-
Very nice! A great trip. Love the live shots of your buddy's buck. Last year was my first since 2001 I didn't get to hunt deer in WY.

-
We hunt public land and a Hunter managment unit open to the public.

Nice pics wack! Looks like a great trip for you guys. Really does look like a Southern portion of the Bighorns I hunted back in 02'. In 04' and 05' I was a closer to Casper......gotta love Wyoming! Congrats on the bucks.
Also sent you a PM.....
-
Love that area over there. I spent quite a bit of time up the North fork of the shoshone and the south fork, also up in sunlight basin. The north fork country was the prettiest, hope to go back someday. Nice pics thanks for posting them.
-
Sweet pics, thanks for the inspiration! We are planning a DIY combo antelope/muley hunt in S. central WY for this year, hope it turns out like yours!
