Got a legend HCx for Christmas...considering an upgrade to Vista for electronic compass...I'm brand new to GPS's so, to those who have used both is it worth the upgrade? Are there any other differences???
Thanks!

I had the legend, sold it and bought the vista, to me it was worth it yes.

Had the legend, vista and rino 530hx.
Figure out what you ultimately want your GPS for and buy the best you can afford. I would have saved a lot of money going directly for the Rino 530!

The Vista also has a built in altimeter and I don't believe the Legend has one. I have the Vista and LOVE IT! Just make sure you get the 24K maps and not the 100K maps.

I agree with him about the 1:24k maps vs. the 1:100K maps, the 1:24's are well worth the money. I have the 530hcx and having a combined GPS and radio cuts down on the extra things you carry.

I upgraded to the rhino 530 last year. Now my legend is collecting dust, but is used occassionaly for those that hunt with me that don't have a gps and should.
