Title: Need Icefishing Help; Fish Lake, Chelan Co.
Post by: ICEMAN on December 27, 2009, 05:58:58 AM
I have been snowshoeing around the Fish Lake area for years, and I am itching to take in some Ice Fishing on the lake.

Anyone experienced with Fish Lake, Chelan County?

I ice fished on the East side alot as a Kid.  I would use just 1 split Shot (Small) Real light line, and 1 Small piece of Worm...fire balls (Red eggs) worked real well.  I would run it all the way to the bottom and then reel up!! (Slow) about every 2' I would give it alittle Jig.  It works! I would have a Fish on, before I would reach the top.  Out fished Pop's that way alot...Good luck and be safe on that ice

dont know about here, but on lake walcott in Idaho,we fished the Ice a lot,If you know of an underwater spring, good spot.We used nightcrawlers filled with air, got to the bottom and have the worm on a 18 inch leader with a slip sinker. Please be careful I fell through once, thank god it was only up to my waist, there were several guys fishing out there when it happened.they got a kick out of it.

Hey Ice.....hit me a PM.....That is my favorite lake around these parts....As you know that is in my back yard!!

Huge perch in there if you use the right thing.......Trout fishing has went down hill since the  Russians started raping the lake.....but still some good ones to catch!

All around though it is a blast to ice fish on!!!

PM me and I will get ya going maybe even meet up for a day of filling buckets!!
