O.K. I am ready to go deer hunting again but have a long time to wait. I want to see some big antlered deer.
Show em if you got em.
I'll start.....nothing monsterous but it is my biggest to date.
I know, I know, my 79 year old dad took the pic and cut 1/2 my head out. It's the antlers I want to see.
Or big does.....that will work too. ;)

Here is mine from this year. I have a whitetail on the wall and hope to get this up there with him soon. I posted this guy earlier. I don't really chase antlers as I never seem to have time to pass on many bucks, but got lucky this year. Several hours to get him out. 26" wide outside spread.
-

PathfinderJr's doe from this year. She was so old she had no bottom front teeth remaining at all, just nubs. She never would have made the winter. I should have gotten her aged.

What did that 04 Blues buck end up scoring firecrotch?
-
Only buck I ever shot back in 1970 something. I think I have around 25 does since then. One more buck the next year with a bow but no pictures. Looking at these pictures I might have to shoot one again just see how they taste.

Bow-n-head makes me sad that I don't live in Montana... :chuckle:
-
Bow-n-head has some private game ranch he hunts, not all deer in Montana are that big. I liked there for 19 years and giants like those are not behind every tree.
-

Oh, I know the deer aren't all like that in MT, I hunted there this fall. That mulie is from public land though, I am 99% sure (Bow-n-head can correct me if I am wrong). He kills large deer and elk pretty regularly though. Not because they are just standing around, but because he lives in MT and spends the time in the woods to find them. That is what I was referring to; living someplace where there is potential for large animals regularly if you do your homework.
Bow-n-head still makes me sad that I don't live in MT... :chuckle:

So, Smokey can't get near this computer so I'll post his, Blacktail, Mulie, Whitetail
-
Looks like a whitetail rack
Yes, he was a 3x3 last year and I chose to let him grow and not hunt him. This summer I got him on my camera and saw he was sprouting another tine, but it started out appearing to be a split G2 of the main beam. As he grew out it spaced out into it's own tine. Not all that uncommon on blacktails, actually. Here he is in velvet over a mile from where I killed him. I had two stands on this ridge but never ended up hunting from them.
-
So, Smokey can't get near this computer so I'll post his, Blacktail, Mulie, Whitetail
WOW, that is a nice group of deer, all with the bow?

Smokey needs to get on here and tell the story about tracking down that monster blacktail (above his head) in the snow!! I've heard the story from Cam Hanes but not from the man himself. Annette, get him on the keyboard, please...
-
Why don't you come down and visit??
Smokey hates computers and won't get near it any more than he has to :dunno:

Great deer, you come all the way over here from Spokane to hunt blackies? That's pretty rare, looks like you know what your doing.
-
I grew up in Chehalis and the blacktail was my first deer while I was in high school. I have only killed one other blacktail buck and it was a spike.
I moved to Spokane after college. I still come over and hunt Roosevelt's depending on the year, but not usually blacktail.
-
Nice deer Whacker1

Just a bit embarrassing...after going through this thread and seeing all these huge dream bucks.
My 7x5 archery whitetail from 2008...did not have it measured, but opened to your guess-taments!

That Whitetail you got in 08 is a DANDY buck also!!
-
Just a bit embarrassing...after going through this thread and seeing all these huge dream bucks.
My 7x5 archery whitetail from 2008...did not have it measured, but opened to your guess-taments!
I wouldn't be embarrased. That's a great whitey. I'd say easily upper 130s, approaching 140. Hard to tell from that angle though...

this years black tail
:dunno: Can't believe you left 6 Pacifico's out of the fridge wtf! I get the Bud Light, that'll taste like piss whether its warm or cold :chuckle: but the Pacifico, thats just wrong! :nono:

This is my biggest, got him in 2001 in Wyoming when I was 13. Came close, but havent topped him yet.

Very nice clark33....very nice buck.

So far this is my best out of 17 bucks - I have what one might call an itchy trigger finger and lots of space in the freezer. The buck on the left is my best and my elk from that year and my little brothers buck on the right. I have been workin' real hard on my self to start being a little picky so I can get some wall hangers.

Last years was probably my biggest.. really nice 4x4 with a little mass. Nice, old mature animal. We have a meat cutter in the area who has been working on deer for 20+ years and he said the body on mine made the top 3 largest he's cut. :IBCOOL: He made a beautiful euro mount. :)
Out of 13 or 14 animals, though.. only 3 have been bucks... the two largest being last year and this year simply because I didn't draw an antlerless tag. *shruggs*. It showed when I was so excited that I forgot to even get a single field photo of my buck last year. I learned my lesson this year, however :)

2007 muley

Nice Muley Cmoney. Looks like you did a "Chuck Norris" and gave him a roundhouse kick to the face instead of shooting him... :chuckle:
-
C-Money Did you shoot that buck just in front of they eye?
-
Huntergreg, I shot him in the back of the head, that is the exit you see in the pic. 30.06, 150 grain Hornaday interlock handload. That was a great day form me!
