Title: Blue Creek turkeys?
Post by: jstamp on January 17, 2008, 07:58:33 PM: About 10 or 12 years ago the wdfw planted some turkeys in the area of the blue creek trout hatchery on the Cowlitz. Were they all shot up? I know of a couple of guys that killed some birds in there, but now they are all gone. Does anyone know what happened to them, or I am just no seeing them. I do know that nobody hunts down there anymore.

Post by: NWTFhunter on March 03, 2008, 09:21:09 PM: Most of those birds have moved onto private land. I hunt there each year, lucky for us we hunt the private land. There is some state land in and around there, but most is land locked. If you can build a relationship with a landowner, that always helps.
