wanting to do the frozen fletch shoot at TSC this Saturday. never done one before so not sure how it works. do i have to register ahead of time or just show up? how does each station work, I.E how many arrows do you shoot, is it a points thing. sorry new guy here (for archery any how)

I have not been to this shoot but the ones I have attended are often not very formal. Showing up unannounced is usually acceptable. I shoot as many arrows as I feel - as long as I am not holding up someone behind.
-
Just show up and have a great time. ONE ARROW PER TARGET. They sometimes have a Mulligan you can buy to get an extra arrow. shoot for fun or keep score.
-
cool i plan on making it
-
love the shoots and miss them.I liked shoots where the silhouette's were steel with the vitals cut out
-
I'm a little in the dark, ...........what exactly is a frozen fletch shoot?
-
its just what they have titled there 3-D shoot for the 9th
-
Their signature target is a steel plate with an arrow cut out. If you can hit the shaft of the arrow, about 2" x 24" you get 20 points, if you shoot the point or fletch you get 10 points, of course if you miss you get to add your junk arrow to the bucket. ;)
If you don't have any cahoona's you'll opt out and shoot the foam critter for regular score.

Yea, It was a pretty good shoot. Most of the shots were around 30-35 with a few that were around 50. My son got 4th in the youth div. I didn't turn my card in but I would have gotten 1st in BHFS 2nd flight. I shot a 278. Will be heading down to shoot the Wolly bugger this weekend.

I was bummed, this is the 1st time in years I've missed this shoot. I too will be down at the Wooly Bugger this weekend, they've got one of the best pieces of ground for a shoot. They do a great job of mixing it up, one of the best of the year in my book.
