Title: .270 wsm loads?

140gr Berger VLD
63.5gr Reloader 17 (new short magnum powder)
Federal Match large magnum primers
3290fps
.3" 5 shot group @100yards

Great load, very accurate, no stress signs on the case or primer. Took my buck in montana @ 415 yards. Berger bullet performed great.

Post by: Red Dawg on January 10, 2010, 06:27:03 PM: 73 gr of magpro sounds like a super compressed load. You really need to watch your pressures with this caliber. I might start with something a bit faster burning than magpro like 4350 or rl 17. I'm not saying your idea isn't a good one but I would start at a lower amount of powder for sure.
