Anyone used the pop-up ground blinds for turkey hunting? I usually just find a good spot and make my own natural ground blind with whatever is available, but this year, in addition to my 10 yr old son, my 9 yr son is joining us on his first turkey hunt in April. I would like to find a reasonably priced ($100 or less) ground blind that me and the boys could be in so their movements are covered and I can be close to them for coaching. I found one at Cabelas for $49 that would seem to work, and I've checked e-Bay some too. Just curious if anyone has had any good experience with a particular brand/make. Thanks. :dunno:

the only experience i have to share is if you plan on putting you and 2 kids inside, be sure to check the size of the blind. my buddy and i tried to turkey hunt out of 1 last year with him hunting with his bow and me calling for him an there was not enough room for me in there where he could still pull his bow...so i sat outside and called.

We purchased a dog house blind for the 2007 deer season. here is a couple of pictures. It is kind of small for more then two people we did have three in it one day, two in chairs and the third sat on a pack in the middle. I think it was $89.00 at Jerrys surplus in Everett.
