Title: Hind Sight vs Peep
Post by: bowkid on January 06, 2010, 12:22:20 PM: Have been looking at the "hind sight" set up to replace the peep sight on my string. Was wondering if anyone has anything to say about the "hind sight" system? Thanks

Post by: lokidog on January 07, 2010, 10:15:44 AM: Not sure what the hind sight is. I dropped the peep and use the "no peep" alignment system. I like it because I no longer have the snap from peep tubing to deal with. I do not use a string loop. If I had one to line my peep up I might still use a peep. Maybe when I finally break down and get rid of my 15 year old bow....

I have wanted to try a sight on my compound, this just might be the ticket. Anyone have one of these? would like some hands on testimonials before I drop the change for one.

Something with my vision is giving me hell using a string peep. I've tried tube, tubless and a large peep. I think it has something to do with my eye so close to the peep. I have no problem using a peep on a rifle, but there is some eye relief there. So I have been shooting instinctive with my compound for 30 years. I would like to come up with something I can use on the compound, as my instinctive shooting is now with my new love the longbow.

Thanks! I'll take a look at that as well. Anyplace around where you might let me shoot a couple arrows through it? I'd be willing to travel your direction on a day off to try it. However I am not swimming accross the ocean to the islands. I'm a sagebrush boy and driving on a boat with a full size truck just don't seem right! When I worked down river I had to go out to guemes a few times that was bad enough. Shoot me a PM and maybe we can arrange something.

so that's why I posted this. I just wanted to see if anyone had used them and what they thought about it. I will also check out the "no peep" also.

Post by: geezer on January 17, 2010, 11:46:48 AM: I also wanted to get rid of my peep sight so did much rsearch on alternatives. Did not like the hindsight and ended up with the Anchorsight (very much like the no-peep) and I love it. I now have one on both of my Hoyt bows. Not that hard to set up and after a couple of practice sessions you will start to like it. It really forces me to shoot with a consistant anchor point even better than a peep sight and you don't have the problems asociated with low light, rubber tubing or string rotation that used to drive me crazy with peep sights.
