Title: Looking for a new bowsite.
Post by: jager on January 11, 2010, 01:35:46 AM

I'd like some opinions on bowsights. Which one and why?

Here are my requirements:

-Fiber optic
-5 pin ?
-Bright!!!
-Bombproof  :dunno:
-Would be nice if the fiber optics were protected from breakage somehow....
-lightweight

Yep thats all....

Thanks

Axcel's Armortech is a heck of a sight.  The fibers are all inside the pins with nothing exposed.  Plus, being internal, they don't have to melt the fibers out, so you get a much cleaner light at a true fiber diameter instead of a blob that's twice the size and half as bright.  I had the Micro Matrix from Trophy Ridge before this Armortech, and there simply is no comparison in any of the categories (brightness, clarity, quality).

That is the sight I have been wanting to put on my bow since I seen it. Haven't heard anything bad about it and looks like it is built real well. If you don't go with the Armortech look at the Spot Hogg sights. Those would be my top two choices.

After purchasing a Armortech Ill never use anything else. Hands down one of the best ever built.

Another good option would be the Copper John DeadNuts2 5 pin. I have the micro adjust version and it has been a great sight going on 3 years now.

I love the spot hogg 7 deadly pin sight. Last year i bought the apex 6 pin sight and it was ok but you cant beat the spot hogg. I wont use any other sight. Easy to adjust and works great for me.

archerytalk.com  A good bow site.   :chuckle:
Spot hog 7-pin.  Good sight unless you have a speed bow.  The pins are to close together.  Start at 40 yards and go out from there.   :dunno:

The 7 deadly pin sight in on my 2009 Bowtech 82nd Airborn. It is a fast shooing bow. My first pin in 30 second 40 third 50 fourth 60 then I have a gap in between  my 60 and 80 yard pin which i split the differance for 70 yards and then fifth pin is 80 sixth pin is 90 and seventh pin is 100. It workes great.

There hasn't been a bad sight mentioned here yet, so go with any of them........Just remember that you generally get what you pay for.
