A friend of mine was walking his dog on BA beach
by Washougal saw three sturgeon 4'-5' long clear up in the shallow water by the beach heard some splashing looked out in the river about 30 yds and saw two seals eating a sturgeon lets make that two sturgeon in other words one ea !!!!!!!!!!!!
So there here already >:( >:( this could be a very tough yr.for seals stealing our fish. :bash: :bash:

makes me wounder if a guy should be dragging a herring around very soon for the first springer of the year. Or are they just looking for gators to snack on because of a lack of springers in the ocean? :bash:
Come on April!!! I can't wait to see how many springers show up!!! or don't.

About 6 years ago I personally witnessed 6 seals lined up across Steamboat Slough taking sturgeon. A buddy and I were anchored up fishing for sturgeon and the only one catching any were the seals. We watched them take 7 sturgeon in about a hours time. Kinda crazy to watch, they were spaced out evenly all the way across the slough like a net doing some damage.

I hate them f#*%ers do to work was only able to fish a couple of times last year only salmon I had on was eaten by a seal.sure wish we could control their population somehow

Cali was wondering where their there seals went a week or so ago. Said several hundred gone more than usual this time of year. Guess they told their friends of the honey hole up north :bash: Bonnieville needs exercise their right to kill the seals!!!!!!!!!!!

They removed a few last year but I never did hear the final number.

Agreed! They should cut the population back a few... a few hundred that is..
As for California seals up here it wouldn't surprise me. Every other drain on society from down there moves up here so why not the seals also. :twocents:
