Title: ultra rest?
Post by: boonerboy on February 02, 2010, 01:32:01 PM
Am looking to buy a new arrow rest. Thinking about buying the Ultra Rest drop away or possibly the trophy taker shaky hunter. I like the idea of full arrow contaiment. Anyone have a suggestion or any feedback on the subject?

I have never hsd a problem with any of  my ultra rests.  I've had them on 3 different bows all worked  just fine

You've picked two good ones to choose from.  There's nothing wrong with either.

My feedback on the TTSH is its not a full containment. I wanted a full containment also so I put a QAD on my Bowtech and hunted the entire early and late season's for Elk. I could go all day trudging the trails and timber with arrow nocked and ready to roll. The rest is amazing in my book. You can completely forget about making sure your arrow stays in the rest during draw back. The Ultra has a break feature that minimizes the slap on the bow. The trigger is very convienent for raising and lowering the rest. The adjustment is very smooth and tunes in nicely. Once my buddies checked mine out they all switched. Even with it raised, you can easily get your arrow in and out.

Im sold and believe this is the best drop away ever made.

The Ultra is about 120 or so. The regular is about 60. Spend the bucks. The Ultra has the break and the trigger is bigger and more convienient.
