No way I can talk about waterfowling without bring up my dog Macey 8) I got her at a year and ahalf and she weren't nothin but a yard dawg sort of gunshy and she tucked her tail between her legs and ran back to me when she saw her first goose. 6 years later she loves her job and know for a fact FETCHIN is in her blood

I do have to say that there was a day that she got real lazy on me when I got a pair of greenheads and she didn't want to have to make 2 trips :dunno:  :chuckle:
-
I didn't always make it real easy for her by just breakin a wing and makin her have to work pretty hard on a diver goose
-
But she just keep after it doin circle till it finally ran out of gas then grab what ever was available
-
Sometimes you just have a hard time seein where your going when you got a mouth full of goose ;)
-
Now to solve this problem you got a couple of options first is just pin the wings back
-
awesome shots! thats half the fun of hunting is watching the dog work. ;)
-
You can sometimes just grab it by the neck which is fine till you get out of the water and have to drag them :bash: :chuckle:
-
You got that right sneaky :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
Last but not least just tell DAD to shoot the lesser much easier to handle all the way around  :P

For me thats all the fun, the only reason you ever will find me in a blind, actualy it's the only reason I started waterfowling. I had a lab, first lab only had hounds untill then, and figured since I had a duck dog I'ld better shoot some ducks. So far the dog has cost me a new gun, dekes, lots of camo and a boat, but it makes him happy and I guess that's all that matters. Damn labs can get expensive with their toys.

Great lookin Choco dog you got there.

Nice job trainer her. It takes a lot of time and patience with a dog like that. She reminds me of my 15 year-old chocolate, back in the day.
