Now, in the FALL... go in there and kill all the bears you want...
But there's none there in the spring.

They're special "migratory bears"..

I bought a bear tag last year, on the tag it says 4/17/2009-3/31/2010
I just went online, and I am seeing the same info the guy at wal-mart showed me.

I just bought my 2010 hunting license, bear tag, and spring bear application online. It took less than 5 minutes. Wal-mart employees must be a bit confused.

Raul Duke,

One thing you might want to check, is that when you first log on with your WILD I.D., your last name, and your birth date, at some point it will ask what license year, and you have the choice of 2009 or 2010. If you didn't select 2010, it may have taken the default (2009) and that is why you didn't see an option to purchase anything except for last year's tags.

I think Bobcat is right, you may not be choosing the 2010 option.  I had no problem buying my son's and mine online last Sunday.

      :o    Really?    :chuckle:

I never buy my licenses and tags at the stores anymore. You're better off doing it yourself on your computer at home.

I am still trying to find out what the pilot program is all about in some of these hunts. I have heard a couple different things one is they send somebody along with you and another is spotting by helicopter. anybody know?

What they mean by pilot program is, this is a "new, experimental" season and they are trying it out to see how it works....(Kinda like T.V. programs), although no longer new, they are keeping the wording so that they can keep it from being an "established" big game season.
In other words, if we screw it up somehow,  they will shut it down without any notice, and they will not have to resort to "proposed changes" or anything....
then it will be gone.......and only hound hunters and private companies will have spring seasons.

With minimal (to no) snowpack the season should be a good one on the eastside.
