Me and a buddy were planning on heading over there next weekend. But if you guys could throw me a bone. You could save us a lot of time and money!
Thanks, Joe

Eastside elk don't drop antlers until mid-March at the earliest. Best time to make a trip is late March-early April.
-
Yep, mid March at the earliest. 2 years ago I picked up a 5 point shed while I was turkey hunting opening day of turkey season, just minutes after it dropped.
-
What they said. I've also seen numerous large bulls when I've been turkey hunting with antlers still attached. You might find deer antlers, though.
-
yeah the only fresh bone you may find yet is deer sheds. i talked with a game bio a couple weeks ago and he said elk may drop a little later this year because of the weak winter we had.
-
way to early for the average elk.
-
and let them BE for now...even tho its been a mild winter...tis not over yet
-
don't come until late july that would be your best bet. :chuckle:
