Wel finally i found the buck of a lifetime. These were laying 20-30 yards apart and it was an awsome sight. 1 side has 12 scorable points,7 1/4 bases 22.5" of mass 25" main beams and scores 94", the other side has 9 scorable points 7 3/4" bases 23" of mass 23" main beams and scores 83", with a inside spread credit of 24"( probably 27") he would score around 201. I need to get them officially scored to c how close i am to the actuall. I attached the pics, i hope u enjoy

HOGGG!!!!

Well Shad......since you guys once again forgot to give me a call when you plan a major excursion like that I'm begining to think you are scared that the day you take me up there you are going to be butt hurt that I find all the horns. :) I guess I'll have to stick to finding my little two points out here in the sage brush. Let's see if I can't stir up some controversy........"I dissagree with your score completely" I say it scores closer 191 and 5/8" because I'M AN EXPERT! ;)
-
Nice job. I found a set last year that looks, at least in my opinion, very similar to those, except probably smaller of course. Perhaps they are from the same buck or a maybe a sibling? I can try to put a picture of them up but I dont want to steal your post or anything.

HOLY CRAP MAN! Those are indeed "The Sheds". Mine are still out there. Imagine that deer last year or year before. Bet he'd have even scored more. AWESOME

Wow! Buck of a lifetime!
-
xjohnsenx , I would love 2 c ur pics if u got em. It would b cool 2 c what he looked like last year if they r infact from this buck. I would bet that last years sheds were bigger than this years, he is on the downword slide, loosing length and gaining mass.
-
Great sheds!!! My dog and I found 7 today but nothing like those!!
-
Sweet bone. Mark

Happy Hunting. Glad to see another buck from that gene pool exists? My hunting partner and I harvested bucks that carried that heavy amount of base bling extra back in 2000 and 2002 from what I assume to be the same mountain range. Have not seen the same dose of quills on bases in the area since. The 2000 buck carried about 14 eyeguards, and 2002 had 8 which was much younger. Your sheds are holding the same G, main beam, and base configuration, length and mass. The eye extras are shorter. This buck may be peaked in years, but with this years easy winter and early forage growth he may exceed the norm. Find him in the fall, and thanks for posting your trophy. Mount him.
-
I would , i mean all of us would love 2 c ur bucks that u shot if u could post some pics that would b great. If they r the config. it would b cool to c the feild photos, maybe same geene pool. I am hoping someone i know draws a late tag so we can go after this guy and maybe find him this winter!
-
We don't even know if we are taking the same area for sure, but I'll get some photos posted eventually. Going to have to take some of the mounts. No field photos. The measurements on the larger buck was about 201-205 gross scored by a taxidermist and a B&C. 170 net typical and 178 gross typical. 193 non typical. 13 right side and 10 points left scoring. 22 and 23 mass. 21 and 23 mains with a 20 spread credit. The burs were about 7-8", but the tape could find no more than 6 and change between bur and G1 at the narrows. Remember, I'm only taking a calculated guess off the amount of visual and written clues in your postings as to where your shed was picked and some were pretty obvious if true.

Nice find. Wish I could stumble onto that hog this fall.
-
Good job HE WALKS an HE SCORES! :chuckle:
-
A couple more pics, 1 pic has a normal soup can for comparison
-
I still shake my head everytime I see those things. Pictures don't do them justice.
-
Antlerking, love the can shot. Here are the two bucks from the same area taken in 2002 and I believe 2000 which you wanted to see. The 1st is a pretty young straight 4 point with 6 scoring eye guards. The other is an older guy which was the 4 by 5 with 14 scoring eye guards grossing over 200 which so much reminded me of your find. My point of interest is that racks such as these 3 are unusual in having a rather typical main frame with a junked up base of multiple eye guards.

Nice bucks Redmist!

Nice Red

Wow, its no wonder they call you the Antlerking. Great finds.

Hey AntlerKing, you never said thanks that I changed my mind and didn't hike in their the day before you picked those up! :chuckle: The 2 old white 2 points I found in the other spot really made up for what I might have found had I not talked myself out of it. :bash:
Good job! I'm glad you got those this year instead of...well, you know!

Hey Lowedog, the funny part is the night before he kept changing his mind on where to go the next day due to all of the people sign at that place. I told him they could not find them all, and we should go anyway, lucky him huh? You know Shad he is charmed when it comes to horns. I swear he can go to Walmart and find a shed in the flowerbed. :chuckle:
-
Nice sheds Red!!
-
Holy WOW!
-
I hate to be that guy and no discredit to you they are awesome sheds but, i kinda doubt those would score 201. Seems to me he lacks the depth in his Y's but i could be wrong. Congrads on a great find.
-
45" of mass, lots of extras and 25" mains make that thing deceiving. Trust me. That sucker is right around 200. Pictures of these sheds dont do it justice.
-
Holy mass! Congrats on the find Shad! You are the Anterking!

X2... hes got everything to make him score big, but doesn't have the huge deep forks we all love to see (I'm more of a "typical" kinda guy). A truly AWESOME buck, just a different style rack than we're used to seeing!
