Here is a photo of Longtatlaws first Blacktail. Finished it a couple days ago. Guess it is the way I took the picture but I modified a standard shoulder form into a Wall Pedestal so the deer is facing the center of the room.
(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi126.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fp115%2Fmichellestaxidermy%2FLTLBT1.jpg&hash=d7b2198cf81e188c0aec9a253a932237f37bb14f)
I was removing the meat off a couple bear skulls when he called to come pick it up. Wanted to get the skulls done since my hands and arms were covered in blood. Didn't want to get the camera all nasty. So I snapped a couple quick pictures. This is the only one that wasn't fuzzy or to dark. I need a new camera.

well...this was my first BT... not exactly a monster...
I was hunting a taller growth clear cut in the fog and saw a nice 15 inc wide solid 3x3...he was alone and stepped behind a bush...3 seconds later I see this same forked horn buck and dont waste any time shooting him... I walk up to find this is a different buck...much smaller..and Im not even sure its legal until I go to my truck and read the regs..really wasnt looking forward to that gammie interaction...luckily it was any any deer area...sooo...off to Michelles..
she did a good job and played with the form some so its kinda custom...
she does ok work I guess!! ;)
and it only took her just short of 3 years :)
-
and it only took her just short of 3 years :)

Charlie is sittin on 3 mule deer buck shoulder forms...all at the tannery...deposits in hand for all 3...but a guess at the complete time suggests it may be just as slow as michele... :bash:
waitin on you two to get taxidermy work done is like watching two 97 year olds:bash: :bdid:
-

Sounds like you folks need to come to the east side and chase some wolves or cats for a couple of days and unwind. That's a pretty mount Michelle. A good job like that takes time to do.
-
roflmao Sound's like someone is getting a little antsy to get his mount's back.
LTL I just wish I had your problem. I've been on such a dry streak it's not funny. Congrats on all the fine animals.
Remember. Good thing's come to those who wait.

OK, that does it. EVERYONE in this thread go to your rooms and think about what you've done. If you're not careful, you will end up sleeping outside with the YARs... :nono:
-
What Longtat doesnt realize is that for every phone call, text, message, PM, or post he puts up asking if his mounts are done yet, his mounts get pushed back a month for every one ...........whos laughin now Dave :chuckle: You now have top wait 3 year and 11 months :lol4:
