PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST March 2010
Please enter your favorite photo into our photo of the month contest.
TOPIC this month. ON THE WATER
Get out there and snap some pics! Anything to do with water, from mountain lakes to a dripping sturgeon. From the duck pond to frozen icicles. Bring it! NEXT month Sheds
-Photo size MUST be 800x600 pixels or LESS Most violated rule
-Photos need to have been taken within the last calendar year.
-Photo must have been taken by the person submitting it, or of that person in the case of a field photo.
-2 entries per contestant are allowed per month. If more than 2 entries are submitted the first two elegible ones will be the ones accepted for the contest.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the 26th of the current month in order to qualify for that Months contest.
-Photos of Washington material will receive preference in judging as the winner will be posted on the front of a Washington site.
-Previous Photo of the month entries will not be eligible for this months contest
-The winner of the previous months contest is not eligible for the next months contest.
-Entries will be accepted or rejected as is, meaning the judges will no longer enhance, or alter images. Resizing is legal if you can talk a moderator into doing it for you.
The photos will be evaluated by a panel of your peers. A winner (NO TIES) will be announced when the poll is over. If there is a tie, we'll sort it out.
The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page
New Ideas for the contest:
We are going to start having themes for some of our Photo of the month Contests. These are not in concrete, but as outlined for now. Get out there and get those PICS.
January....photo of the year contest/open
February....Winter Predator hunting
March...
April.....Shed antlers
May.....Fishing (combo this year...Turkey/Fishing)
June......Trailcam pics
July....Landscapes, spring flowers summer hiking trips etc.(wildlife or scenery can be included)
August.......Velvet bucks or bulls
September ...bowhunting/Archery
October....open
November.... Field photos
December.... Winter scenes (wildlife and scenery acceptable...anything winter)

I will DQ myself from this contest up front since this is more then 12 months old. Other then that this is me on the South Fork of the Payette rivers in Idaho. Boofing off a rock over Little falls! My favorite pick of me kayaking.

Last sunday setting on silver lake(cowlitz co) trying for some early crappie, should have panarama'd it since both pics were taken by simply turning 15%

Sad but true; let's hope its a little better than last year. We were hiking out of a rappel fire in central Oregon and were seeing MOUNDS of ticks. And multiple poised and ready on branches... one of the gals on my crew pulled 24 off of herself (luckily not embedded yet) upon our return.

Hey I've surfed that wave. You must have kayaked with some of friends if not be part of the same kayak club. SCKC...? am I right?
Top Pin, I actually just joined SCKC this year to attend rolling practice at the Y. I wasn't surfing at the time, more interested in taking pics as I can't do all the cool stuff that the pros can. Water levels are up to 5k today; may have to go see how those upriver holes are doing!
