Title: pictures of collared wolves in colville area
Post by: WAcoyotehunter on March 09, 2010, 12:15:36 PM: Has anybody heard about the wolves that some prominent guy said they got a picture of at the Colville Wolf Plan public meeting? His report there was a suprise to the WDFW as they did not know of any collared wolves in the area. I'll get a few pics up in one minute-

the one in the back has a husky type tail...not a wolf tail.

that's the problem. Too many reports like this one, and "real" reports meet skepticism because there have been too many lame sightings.

All these years, and i never even realized that the "dog" my parents have, the one i grew up with, was actually a bloodthirsty killer wolf!!!!!!! I did the same thing. Saw this post yesterday and thought I'd see some actual pics. Pretty obvious they were not wolves the moment I saw the pics. Too funny :chuckle:

My thoughts too. ..these dogs look like they just broke free from a sled! The WDFW is getting "reports" from people the "KNOW" they saw a wolf all the time. This guy had the pictures in front of him and still though they were wolves...clearly, he did not know what he was talking about, even though he is a fairly prominant figure in the community. :twocents: sightings are helpful, but CONFIRMED or at least confirmable sightings are critical. these pictures were very helpful to the bios!
