Here is the bobcat muleysniper killed last winter. Pretty cat, goto love eastern washington cats. The base is not finished because he wanted to do it himself, so I mounted the cat for him. Enjoy the pics.

Not one bit ;)I guess I don't look at many bobcats but comparing it to the bobcat in the photo of the month by Bone it's face looks alot wider and overall bigger :dunno:The few bobcats I have seen in person always seem to be smaller headed I guess
-
Thats a good cat. I am trying to get one still. That is the mount that i want. They have such cool colors. Any way good job on the cat and great mount.

I will look at that picture, this cat is probabbly a bigger cat with a bigger head . Not real petite if you will.
-
Cute kitten. :chuckle: Awesome looking mount.
-
Charlie, that is one good looking mount. Great Job! John
-
I dont know man, they look about the same size to me. Remember , mine is a mount, that other cat is real and looks perfect ;) Cat mounts are the toughest to look right . It also looks like that cat that doug had the picture of has a longer nose. Here is a better close up od the cats face.
-
Strong work, Charlie! Your cat's are getting better every time you do one in my opinion...
-
Well the close up looks damn good I guess maybe it's just an older cat,the one thing with your mounts is everything on the face is more detailed then most other taxidermist's and always have natural color.Nice mount
-
Dang thats cool. It reminds me of the one I missed this year. :bash:
-
Looks good!

I've mounted quite a few cats (lynx, cougar & bobcats). They all seem to have there own look and features and just like people and other animals no 2 are the same. :twocents:

Cats are tough...

They really do, Ive looked at so many referance pictures and there are some Bobs that are just plain ugly :chuckle: Goes the same with nose colors, from black to brown to pink. Good info !

Damn......i want a cat now!!!!!!!!
Awesome mount Charlie!

You don't have to convince anyone Bucklucky....you do some amazing work for sure...

Great work on the cat Charlie. As the couple of comments made each cat has it's own features. Just look at peoples cats and dogs (pets) they all have different facial and muscle tones and colors. I love the base also with that piece of wood you chose. Keep up the great work. :) :) :) ;)
-
Wow three pages!! I can't wait to pick that thing up  Yeah Muleyhunter that is a piece of Juniper I got from another buddy of mine that does fish replicas. I cleaned it up and put three coats of lacquer on it before I took it to Charlie . Im kind of a wood guru with the business I'm in ;) I took it to Charlie with a "vision" which he matched perfectly for me. When I get it home I'll decide on wood species to make the base or pedestal for it to sit on. I have plans of adding snow and some sage into the habitat as well.

I know you squared away with the taxi but the guide told me he feels a little shafted. He said you stiffed him on every turkey he has guided for you too. He did say that he will settle for a bull elk in return one of these years. :chuckle:

Very nice work!!! Thanks for posting the pics!!!
-
looks pretty good to me...

Awesome mount Charlie!!! I really like the eastern cats, they are so much lighter and seems to have a thicker hide then the ones over here on the west side. Anybody got an explanation for that? Does it have to do with more sun and more cold temperatures?
