Title: Bowhunter Education Question
Post by: Gringo31 on March 16, 2010, 07:59:55 PM
Guys,
I'm considering hunting alaska for goats in an archery only unit.  See below:

Bowhunter Education Requirements:
You may NOT hunt with long bow, recurve bow, or compound bow in any hunt or area restricting the taking of big game to archery only unless you have first successfully com-pleted a department approved bow hunting education course (IBEP or equivalent).

My question is if anyone knows where I could get this done in the state.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gringo

http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/huntered/classes/bowhunting.php (http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/huntered/classes/bowhunting.php)

Here you go.  WDFW website lists the classes as a courtesy for the Bowhunter Education program.

Damn....

I feel foolish.  I was looking on the IBEP website and the closest place I was finding was Nevada.

Cool.

and  Thanks.

I also have to give two thumbs up to the bowhunter education program in this state.  The curriculum is pretty good.
