Was out hiking a week ago in LT murray and found a bird band. Anybody tell me how to find out where the bird came from. it says on the band Coyote Ridge/WSP 102354
-
Never mind, i found it. it is the prison in walla walla, wsp is washington state penetentiary.
-
I'm betting it was from a pheasant coming from Coyote Ridge.
-
they raise them at coyote ridge prison in walla walla for release, this one must have been coyote bait.
-
Yep. All pheasant released in the sites around NCW that I've seen are from Coyote Ridge and have a band.

I was setting up a decoy for a coyote stand along Crab creek and found one of those little blue aluminum bands marked Coyote Ridge, thought it might be a good oman but the stand was a bust. I guess the coyotes were too full of domestic pheasants to have to do any hunting.

coyote ridge correctional center is in Connel, not walla walla.
