Title: rangefinding bino's
Post by: Bookworm on February 10, 2008, 09:11:48 PM
Does anyone have any info on rangefinding bono's other than the Leica's. I'm thinking about getting some but don't want to lay out that much until I decide if I like them. Any info would be appreciated.

I have looked through both.  I just don't like the Leica bino's.  I have looked through normal Leica's and they just don't feel comfortable to me.  I use the Leica RF though.  I have also looked through the Leupold, and they are really poor bino's IMO.  The Leupold's are huge, funky width, and focus adjustment.  They work but pretty cheap glass.

I was set on set on buying the leica geovids until I looked thru the swarovskis, the leicas don't measure up.
My opinion anyway

Thanks for the input. My wife is not happy with her range finder and would rather pack one then two so combining binos and the range finder interests her.  She's not sure though.  Wearing the bino buddies makes her feel like a strung up chicken.  Her words, not mine!  She says too much to pack etc etc.  The saga will continue and I will of course listen and support.  :chuckle:
