Title: ryderwood?

First time out here huntin.  Gonna do bow, but wondering if the area ryderwood (530) is any good for deer or elk? Any inputs?

It is good for both deer and elk. Lots of clearcuts of all different ages. Find a good map and go scouting. You'll find what you're looking for. Come hunting season you'll see plenty of road hunters so try to spend some time behind the locked gates. Good luck!

There is alot small groups of elk in ryderwood. I have done most of my hunting down there. I would suggest to start scouting now because it keeps getting more and more popular every year. Get a Mountain Bike and ride behind closed gates. Also stay away from private property and different timber companies rules on closed gates.

ive called in several bulls in there, and theres alota deer too. downside to hunting there is all the people, i generally will not go there on a weekend. weekdays though are much better
