PLEASE make sure you shoot the gun to check your pattern before you go hunting.

:yeah:
Also try a couple different shot sizes. My buddy and I both have Benelli super black eagle shotguns, bought them together at the same time. Both our guns seem to like #4 shot in Hevi Shot, but a buddies gun seems to pattern better with #6 shot. I also know a guy who's shotgun won't give a sufficient pellet count with either #4 or #6's with Hevi shot, so he shoots plain old Winchester lead #4's and gets good pellet count.

A lot depends on which type of ammunition you will be using. Generally, and there are some exceptions; if shooting lead (Pb) you want the tightest choke (most constriction) possible. Your gun uses Remington® Chokes. Cabelas® brand chokes, (made by Carlsons®), in Xtra Full (.665"), and Super Full (.660") should cover your needs. They cost $29.95 at the Cabelas® store in Lacey. These two chokes are also Hevi•Shot® capable.

gonna pattern it this weekend. just wanted to know wich choke i should get. thanks again for all the help, its greatly appreciated.

reminder the change - i believe that took place last spring that the new requirement for #4 shot or smaller
Turkey hunters must use #4 shot or smaller (e.g. #6 shot)

What ammunition will you be using? Are you sticking with lead (Pb), or, will you be using HTL such as Hevi•Shot?

i havn't really decided yet. was thinking about getting a box of each and seeing what my shotgun liked better.

What Daly gun is it? It might take Remington chokes...mine does. Don't expect to walk into a shop and find Daly choke tubes sitting on the shelf UNLESS you can verify that it will take a Remington choke.

If it does take the Remington chokes I am using a Primo's Jelly Head and the #5 3" Nitro Mag turkey loads and get a great pattern to at least 40 yards. I haven't checked it further than that because I am not into shooting them further away than that.
:dunno:

Is that the Remington® Nitro Turkey™ (#NT12H5) ammunition, or ammunition from the Nitro® Ammunition company?

it's the remington ammo.
