I've been busy since January re-loading here and there for our annual trip to Montana. Bought a second 223 to complement my other one. Ya always need two of every thing, right?
Who else heads out of state for gopher, prairie dogs, and badger hunting?
When I get back I'll post a host of pictures. This is a GOF Hunt(good old friends) as we've been friends for nearly 38 years, so there is a lot of BSing going on, political talk, gun talk, swap meet talk, etc.
This year we are going to set up wall tent, cook tent etc. rather than stay in a motel or single-wide. We have access to a family ranch so we'll set up in a swale to get relief from the constant wind.
Those of you that head out or hunt in state for "gophers" please post some pictures.

Heading out in about a month for prairie dogs in Montana....

Never done it, but always wanted too. Looking for a place in Oregon for ground squirrels this year.
Anyone care to point me in the right direction? ;)

Seems like I read that Montana made a change and will not allow prairie dog shooting on state land until June. This may not be accurate but worth while checking out before you go. Sage rat hunting in Oregon, try the Bend to Burns areas out. Look for the irrigation pivots in the alfalfa fields and ask for permission.
